Grandstand Expansion at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

A 16,000 seat grandstand addition in Turn One and a 23,000 seat grandstand addition in Turn Four

THE ASSIGNMENT: SMI wanted to expand the existing outdated seating and amenities at LVMS with new state-of-the-art grandstands and the highest quality fan amenities.

THE SOLUTION: As part of a comprehensive master plan developed by aiDG, the expansion featured two separate grandstand additions at the first and fourth turns, built in two phases, each designed to accommodate the future addition of VIP suites above the seating. Each grandstand incorporates a full raised mezzanine level with separate amenities serving fans off the upper back of the grandstand. A below grade food transfer building with tunnel access to the elevator core allows for support to the main concourse and mezzanine levels and seamless catering service to the future suites.
